It comes with 9.0.2. A (very lucky) friend at work just got one. I am a version-freak. As soon as I set it up for him, I ran the software update control panel. It actually wanted to install an OLDER 2.0 version of the DVD software. 9.0.2 comes with DVD 2.1--the supposed holy grail of DVD software, no more sync problems. It's true. I brought home the CD and updated my DVSE from 9 to 9.0.2 and BINGO no more sync problems on the Tarzan DVD I had just watched last night with DVD 2.0 and sync problems.
The SU control panel also tries to update your sound manager extension to 3.6.3. I currently have 3.6.1 that was just installed with the 9.0.2 update. I haven't decided whether to install the 3.6.3 or not. If you do let us know what happens.
It created for me also (for you updaters out there) new "9.0.2 Base" and "9.0.2 All" Startup Manager sets, deleting their 9.0 counterparts.
Probably more info than you wanted but I found it interesting.
