Where can I find the proper qty. of Ram to add to the software. I have 384 Mb of Ram , and I want to use it , so my software doesn´t have to demand more Ram due to the lack of it.
How much for : Explorer, Outlook, dvd, quicktime, Imovie2...
-Mac G4 867, 240Gb HD, +1gb Ram . OS9.2.2 and OS X 10,2,8
-iPod 10 Gb
-PB 12'' 1Ghz 768 RAM + AirPort Extreme OS X 10.2.8
Trial and error really.
Don't change quicktime. Give the DVD player about 15 megs, IE and OE the same (maybe a little more), give iMovie a lot (maybe 150 or something).
Usually if a prog gives me an out of memory error, I just make its allocation about 3 times what it was.
