Appleworks 6 is very funky. It loads very slowly and freezes frequently. I use the program only when I have to. Is there some fix to this problem?

Make sure you download the Appleworks 6 updater here: http://asu.info.apple.com/swupdates.nsf/artnum/n11700

And make sure you are running CarbonLib 1.0.4 in your extensions folder. If you are not, you can get it here: http://asu.info.apple.com/swupdates.nsf/artnum/n11673

Yeah aw6 is rather buggy for me too, each time I try to print using my HP drivers, it crashes a lot... very annoying... computer restart needed... oh well... I need OS X...

Best solution I've found: delete it.
Use AW5 - MUCH better.
