Virtual Memory w/ 1 GB RAM

The Mac OS won't let you use Virtual Memory if you have more than 1 GB of RAM installed on your Mac. Not that I would use VM with that much RAM anyway, but I'm curious to know what technical limitations exist that prevent this.

Anyone know?

LOL.

I apparently still had the MacNN Staff username as my cookie and didn't realize it. I was correcting a typo.
