Is it useful to zap PRAM and rebuild desktop?
How often should I do this?
Will it solve the "Crash" and "Freeze" problem?

Yes it is.
Every now and then... once every 2 weeks for the desktop, and when problems arise for the PRAM zap.
Depending on how much you use the comp of course. For an average user, a rebuild of the desktop every few months would be more than sufficient.
"The crash and freeze problem"?
They are not fixed problems - anything can cause them. It may solve some problems.
