I'm using the Techworks PowerCDR and the crummy Aplix Software that came with the thing. Using the Apple CD-Rom extension that came with OS 9.0.4, I get the dialog box that says "This Disc is unreadable by this computer. Do you want to format it?" each time I try to burn a CD- I have to hit cancel and then push the tray back in after it ejects and try to beat out this dialog box again as I go through the process of preparing to burn a CD. If I use the Aplix CD extension, this does not happen, but I can only burn CD's- not play them or read data off of them. What application generates this box, and how can I turn it off? Is it something in Drive Setup or what?
