I am using OS 9.2.1 on a 450MHz G4 deskyop system. Since installing this version of the OS I am having trouble with folders on the desktop changing positions at restart and also my view settings changing back to the default status.

I have tried rebuilding the desktop and zapping PRAM; also I've ran DiskWarrior, TechTool Pro and Norton, but nothing has helped. What happens is I will set my desktop icons in a certain place but after restarting they will move to another location. The Views settings have me even more confused; I've set the Edit/Preferences for List view and have uncheck all options under Show Columns. When I select a bunch of folders to use list view and then restart those same folders open back to the default of icon view. This is extremely aggravating and I hope someone can assist me.
