hey all. I'd never had any luck getting Disc Burner to work on Macs without built-in USB, in particular the WallStreet powerbooks, until this afternoon. I use USB via a Belkin busport mobile card.
Disc Burner is a great thing, but 9.1 wouldn't use it b/c my 'Book lacked built-in USB.
Seeking a work-around, I upgraded to 9.2.1. Lo and behold! When I connected my burner via the USB card, disc burner popped opened. It then burned a perfect data CD. But I was using Authoring Support 1.1.2, and wanted 1.1.3. Apple's updater wouldn't install, saying I need a Mac with built-in USB.
I fired up my brand-new TiBook 667/DVD/48G and copied the file from its OS 9.2.1 folder to the WallStreet's.
I frequent the boards and haven't seen anything like this, so I thought some of you might be interested in knowing that you too can use Disc Burner (and iTunes 2.0) even if your Mac (only tested with WallStreet PowerBook) doesn't have built-in USB.
