At the risk of getting flaming missiles hurled at me (ducking)....
I personally like the way that windows explorer lists files/folders in a tree-like structure. I find that it is a fast way to manage files (of which I have beaucoup!). Is there a way to have activate this feature in the MAC, or do I have to have a special utility? I have an iMac SE.

BTW, other than that, I LOVE the iMac (and MAC in general). I PREFER to be on it rather than my PCs.

Have you tried the "list view" instead of icons?

Yes, I tried the List view. It's close, but still doesn't give the left-hand "frame" with the folders listed. It's all in the same window. With some of my HUGE folders, moving files to subfolders can be a real pain. I have tried several methods, but it still doesn't have the "quick" feeling of Win Explorer. I may be nit-picking, but everything else is great on the MAC, with this exception.

It's not exactly like WinExplorer but it should be close enough for what you want.

I don't know why anybody would flame you for wanting to use GUI bits from Windows that are actually good ideas. Knee-jerk fanboyism, perhaps...

Snax in OS X (for that matter OS X in general) offers similar "windows" style views.
