I couldn't find an ideal forum for this, so hopefully this one will be OK.
I am trying to access iDisks via a cable modem using 9.2.1, 10.1 and NT4.
I can not get any of them to work.
9.2.1:
If I try and access via the Network Browser, it dies with a type 12 error. This usually renders the Rev. B iMac, or PowerBook 2000 unstable.
10.1:
I have tried via Go -> iDisk, and connect to server. Both methods moan about the device not supporting this access. One method reports that the server is reporting an error 19 (sorry can't be more specific at the moment).
NT4, IE 5.5:
Trying to access via file -> open (open as web folder) causes IE to access violate.
Access is OK if I use AFP.
I have asked NTL (cable company) if they block anything, but they say that they don't block anything.
Does any one else have the same problem, or any ideas?
I have reported this to Apple.
