I'm having a weird problem. No matter which application I use, whether it be Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Internet Explorer, when I try to select text with the cursor, I dont' get a highlight, so I can't see what's going on. I can click, drag around, and nothing. Makes copying / pasting text impossible.

Any ideas or solutions on what I can do? I've got a GeForce 2MX in a dual 533 G4.

Try changing the highlight color.

aww crap, I've seen this before, and honestly I don't remeber what did it. But I'd have you First lok at you highligh color in the appearance control panel (uhhh yeah) then try reseting your PRAM and
rebuilding the desktop, because that never hurts to try, lastly make sure all of your software is up to date and you've done all the latest firmware updates, if problem persists (and it may) take it in to the techs and have them check out your OS with nortons or techtool (or do it you self if you have those programs and are familiar with using them), luck be with you
