Wake from sleep:
1. Open the Energy Saver control panel - click on Show Detail - move the three sliders
to Never.
2. Open Sherlock - choose Index Volumes in the Find menu - in the window that
opens, click on Schedule - remove the check marks from all the boxes.
Close windows/quit apps - shut down - wait a few seconds for the memory to
completely clear then start up.
If you still have waking from sleep when not intended, then something else is going on,
but it should not be related to remote access.
Remember to go back to the Index Volumes and set a time and day when it is
convenient for the Mac to index or it wont be done unless you remember to do it
manually from time to time.
Apple Remote Access:
Go to the Preferences folder - inside the System folder - move the Remote Access
preferences to the Trash. Shut down, wait a few seconds - then start up.
The Mac will build a new set of preferences for the Remote Access as it starts up.
If this doesn't correct the problem(s) with your ARA, you may have to replace it,
but this is worth trying first.
