anyone know how to display chinese/japanese characters? is there a special font that i can download?

Language kits? They are sold separately for users of 8.6 and below or if you buy Mac OS 9 it is included.

it will answer your questions on language display.
If you mean simply displaying chinese from your browser then there might be a little problem with IE, my friend has got an iMac DVSE and although he custom-installed world script(another prog. for displaying fonts) for chinese...there is still some problems displaying it in IE, however Netscape is fine
BTW he's got Mac OS 8.6, since if u have OS 9 the language kit is included.
