as you can see, I had everything updated, then, last night, I clicked the update button, and low and behold, everything needed updating again!!.. and, just to be sure, I looked at the version numbers of some things (i.e. startup disk, and it said I had 9.1 or whatever, when I RECALL getting 9.2.1 so it'd work with OSX.. and I did that many weeks ago) Why'd it do this? very strange I think, or have others experienced this? Please fill me in, I don't want to update everything every couple of months..

disk first aid 8.61?? what is that, 3 times?? jeez-Us

Trash the file Mac HD/System Folder/Preferences/Updateable Items

Try Software Update again afterwards. That should fix most of the bogus "updates" offered.

Thanks, that solved my issue too. OS9 wanted me to update to Disk First Aid 8.6.1 1.0 every time I rebooted... I figured it was one silly preference file, but wasn't sure which... again, thanks.
