anyone know if it is possible to change the size of the hardrive icon, i want to put a new pic but its to big and it dosnet look good when it is resized.

It is limited to 32*32 pixels.

Doesn't 8.5 and up support 48x48 icons, too? Cause when you use Multiple Users.. you can choose your icons to be displayed in several different sizes. One size included is 48x48. Can the Finder be hacked to display that size as regular? On a 15" iMac monitor at 1024x768, icons get a little small

Actually there's a trick there. You could create an image made of icons - there's this cool shareware called IconMacher. Give the central one to the disk and there you go. If you really want to go far, write a small AS that tells the finder to open the HD nd replace the other icons by this script-app.
I know, it's not worth the trip, but you asked for it...
