One thing that has been a great annoyance in the MacOS is the limitation of 128 fonts. When using a Macintosh for graphic design and publishing, you usually need more than 128 fonts for a variety of projects. Last I knew, OS 9.0.4 still had the 128 font limitation, so to my knowledge, upgrading would not help this. There are two things I was wondering about this situation:
1. Is there a way around the 128 font limitation or some third party program that allows more than 128 fonts to be used in the MacOS?
2. Or is there a program that assigns certain font sets to certain applications? (i.e. Illustrator uses these 128 fonts, Pagemaker uses these 128, etc.)
I currently have about 4 font folders that I have to switch in and out when opening different files and would really like an easier way to do it. Could someone please advise me of something I can do to acheive one or both of my requests? Thanks.
