Where could I find a version of English Text-to-speech for system 7.6? Apple says it's on their site but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

i went here: http://asu.info.apple.com/
and typed in 'text to speech' into the search field...

and got this: http://asu.info.apple.com/swupdates.nsf/artnum/n10052

and though the link to the ReadMe on the above page is NFG, the release date for the software is 1995, it will therefore work with 7.6

Thanks my friend, you're a life saver... It's for my dad who just had a thrombosis and can't see as well as before on his Performa's monitor...With text-to-speech and a little control panel thingy called HearIt, he can select text in any application (word processing, browser, mail) and have it read to him with a hot key. If he likes it, I'll install him ViaVoice.
