Is it possible to boot your computer from a disk it is networked to (i.e. my other computers hard drive linked to this one via an ethernet?). Both are running OS 9, one is an iMac 350 and the other a beige G3/300.
slboett is Mistaken. You can't do that with AppleShare IP. You need MacOS X Server. You can get more info at http://www.apple.com/macosx/server .
Your beige g3 cannot netboot. Only non-beige Macs can netboot (ie iMac, iBook, etc). So I'd suggest installed the OS X Server on your Beige computer and netboot the other one. Also note that you need an extra ethernet card in the OS X Server machine.
