Hello,
I can't seem to get software update to work on 2 of 3 macs i maintain for friends.
The computers:
G4 cube 786 MB or RAM connected via dialup modem using 10.1
G4 400MHz 128 MB RAM connected via LAN using 10.1

On both of them the my connection to the internet works fine, but it says it cannot find the internet. Internet Exploder works!

Any suggestions?

There was an update to software update that came out very recently (before 10.1.1). You need to download that and install it before you try to get new updates for 10.1. Check Apple's download site for it.

Thanks for the help. I got the installer, but about half way through, when it asks you to select a drive ..... I got stuck. It showed 2 drives (my Hard drive and the mounted drive) , but both were disabled.

I read somewhere else about selecting "automatic update" and the darn thing worked.
