Volume control in menubar?

Is there any way to control the volume in the menubar? Whenever I use iTunes and I use the volume keys, it only controls the iTunes volume...not the system volume, you know? It's very annoying...Is there a program or any way I can put the volume in the menubar or something to control it up there? I know I can use the control strip, I don't like the control strip. Any suggestions? Thanks...

try holding Shift & Option, then use the volume controls; this should change the system volume

(kinda a nuisance, but it works)
