Hello, I just installed 9.1 on my old Performa 6400/200 with the old Geoport/Express modem, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I can get the software based modem to work with the version of Remote Access that comes with 9.1 and how I can do it. I realize that I can buy an external modem, but I want to know if I can get my current hardware (software for the modem) to work. I have a new iBook that is pretty fast on the web, but I want to have access from my old desktop too.

Please help... they left me hanging on Apple's Discussion area.

In your Modem control panel, set the modem selection to GeoPort/Express Modem.

Yeah I tried that a while ago... it doesn't work.
