I run 9.1 and Office 2001 - all Word documents that usually are represented by a document icon with an W attached to it doesn't appear - just a plain blanc document icon - ...what's up?
You need to rebuild your desktop. Restart while holding down the option and command(apple) keys until you see the desktop and a dialog box asking you if you would like to rebuild it. Click Ok and wait for it to finish.
DVD:
When I take a screenshot while running a dvd the picture shows up black..why?
You cannot take screenshots of encrypted DVDs such as commercial movies. This is a copyright mechanism that the MIAA requires in all DVD software/hardware. You can take screenshots of unencrypted DVD though, like the ones you can make using iDVD.
