Short version. Have Tech Tool Pro 3.0.3, downloaded the 3.0.4 update. Want to burn a bootable 3.0.4 CD. I copy the info, replace the updated files, and burn, but I can't get a bootable CD.

If there's 1) a good, standard refernce, 2) a previous thread or c) and FAQ which will answer these questions, then point me there. I searched MacFixit, the TIL and the forums here and couldn't find anything.

uh...its only bootable if you burn a "mac volume" so you'll either need a virtual partition with system software and properly installed TTP3.0.4, or a real partition/removeable media with it. I use a Zip disk to make a bootable 9.1 with everything on it, and burned that...oh, and in toast burning a "mac volume", you'll be able to find an option to "optimize on the fly for space/speed", "bootable", and "autolaunch."

The TechTool disk also has multiple Systems, you wanna make sure you only burn one...
