Ok, problem... on start up Macsbugs yells at me, "Undefined A-trap error" when Apple menu options loads... a misc error... so, I restart, same thing... This time I delete pram, boots up successfully. Next restart, A-trap... so I check what is happening and open up my prefs folder...
Apple Menu Options Prefs: 1.5MB

Naturally, I annihilate that piece of bloated bits... so, it works for another few restarts and later, A-trap... I check later, now the prefs file is ~150k, on other computers they are low, like 12k... So I replace the control panel itself thinking it is corrupted, ask two friends to send it over and install it. After several restarts later, A-Trap... still problematic...

My question: WHAT is going ON??? Fix needed, I really can't work without this control panel...

AMO is notoriously buggy, I tossed it and use Finderpop's enhancement and Other Menu for reliable 'Recents'. I recall having to reinstall (Tomeviewer) AMO and trash it's prefs to get it to run after such corruption. It's more reliable with 'Recents' off but almost useless.

I've been using BeHierarchic for a while. Not a problem with it.
