This is a Multiple Users or Kidsafe 101 question. Apologies to all who have "been there done that"...

I have read a lot about Kidsafe and I am interested in setting it up on our iMac SE w/9.0.4.

If I understand correctly, Kidsafe will be enable only when using the Multiple Users feature, right? Our machine (in true internet appliance fashion) stays on 24 hours a day and whoever needs to use it goes right ahead. In order to use Kidsafe (and, therefore Multiple Users) does the machine have to be restarted each time a different family member wants to use it so they can log in under their name?

If not, how does Netscape (no Microsoft products here!) know when it is one of the kids or one of the parents who is logging in?

I can't say anything about kidsafe because I have not used it. However in multiple users, you log out when you are finished and the next person can log in. It then goes to the desk top settings of that user. No need to reboot system.
