In my preference folder, there exists a file called:

It has the standard preference icon, but I can't figure out from whence it came.

Sounds like a Casady & Green serial number holder (they're usually invisible). I use Conflict Catcher and SoundJam MP and have two such files in my prefs. I know it's them because I deleted the files not too long ago (I didn't know myself what they were), and on my next restart, I had to reenter the CC serial number, and SoundJam had also forgotten its registration info.

Thanks for the help. Strange thing is that when I first discovered the file, it was invisible, but currently I can see it in the Preferences folder. Do files sometimes just become visible for a reason?
