File Sharing Control Panel freezes

I have a FireWire PowerBook (9.04) and when I try to open the File Sharing Control Panel the computer freezes and I have to force a quit. Anyone heard of this? Thanks.

Yeah, it happens on pretty much all of my machines. It's not actually crashing, it's just taking a painfully long time examining your network connections or something along those lines. Just wait a minute or two and it will eventually open up. I have no idea how to fix this, because sometimes it makes me wait and sometimes it'll just pop right open as it should.

Anyone else have any suggestions?
