booting from os 9 cd

	I have not been able to boot from the OS 9 cd rom. Initially it looks like everything is find but hangs up when the progress bar on the start-up screen goes about half an inch. Then the whole system freezes. This has happened numerous times. I haven't seen anything on this and was wondering if anybody had any ideas for me. I'm running an iMac 266 with 96 megs of ram. Thanks in advance!
