i was wondering if anyone knows if there are going to be ata 100 controller cards out for macs soon. i'm getting an ibm 75 gxp 45 gig, and would like to take advantage of the speed on my sawtooth rev a 450.

that's what many of us has been waiting for, and I haven't heard anyone has anything comming to the Mac soon, unfortunately. In the mean time, I'm hoping Apple will step up and upgrade their mobo design to UMA-2, using 150Mhz bus or something. A 166Mhz mobo has recently been released for the PCs, and Intel is looking to push 200Mhz soon. Make the 200Mhz bus DDR, you have yourself a 400Mhz bus!
G4/450, T-bird 1.05GHz, iBook 500, iBook 233...4 different machines, 4 different OSes...(9, 2k, X.1, YDL2.2 respectively) PiA to maintain...
