I have an issue with my PowewrMac 6100/66 / when I switch over to the PC side and insert a DOS floppy disk. The software that I downloaded from APPLE it tells me disk error

What is on the floppy disk? Is it a bootable disk? Do you have an operating system setup and working on the PC side? What version of MacOS are you running? Will the floppy mount on the Mac side?

I also have a 6100 DOS compatible. I sometimes used to get disk errors every so often, then I realized that every time that happened, my external hard drive was turned off.

This might not be the solution to your problem, but you might want to make sure that all of your external SCSI devices (if you have any) are turned on.

If you've upgraded to OS 9, then DOS compatibility won't work anymore (not supported by Apple).
