My younger brother has lots of fun dissecting old electronics...

He thought it would be fun to snip all the wires in my old LCIII. That was my FIRST mac ever...and I loved it...so very very much...

His excuse was "well, you weren't ever going to use it again..."

::cries, and looks at the parts::

Nope... no chance of repair..since it's only worth $25...

But I did manage to make a nifty keychain out of the RAM...

Tell him that the idea is to be able to put it back together again, with no extra parts, and have it work. Just wrecking it... isn't very challenging. Or is this guy very young?

Hm. Maybe you could challenge him to fix it again?

Is this a good place for an argument?

He's 14. And he doesn't know much about computers.

I threw the baby in the garbage, anyway. Poor Wally.

However, I'll feel better when Demmie the iBook2 comes.

Too bad you threw it away. You probably could have given it a motherboard and cable transplant from another LCIII, keeping the same hard drive and case. It would be basically the same machine, but this time back from the dead.

No..he cut EVERYTHING.

No ethernet card...

I wouldn't have wanted to repair it. I didn't use it at all..and would have been too much work, with no benefits.

Oh well.

I'll cheer up when Gracie the Ibook Dual USB comes. I'm not holding my breath, though
