I have Performa6116cd, whenever I turn it off
the date/time is reset to 1956. I've changed the battery, ran norton anti-virus and upgraded to system 8.1 any help?
thanks !

I'm guessing this probably won't solve it, but try zapping the parameter RAM (PRAM) by restarting and holding down command-option-PR. After you hear another startup chime, release the keys and the machine will start up. This small chunk of memory can sometimes get corrupted it stores some control panel settings, and I don't know if the Date & Time control panel is one of them.
