What is the difference between the "coming soon" highest end video card, the ATI Radeon 9700, and the NVIDIA GeForce 4 Titanium 128? Is it just the bandwidth/design? I work mainly in Photoshop, Painter, InDesign and am moving into limited digital video (that's how it always starts isn't it?)... Are these cards designed mostly for gaming and 3-d rendering apps. and/or are they the fastest for graphic design/video work too?

I'll be buying a new Mac shortly. Which card should I get?

The Geforce Ti 128 is great in Photoshop. Renders nice and fast. But, of course there will always be and come faster video cards but, for right now the Ti is definitely nice. Just a tad on the expensive side however.

Huh? If you're not gaming then buy a lower end card.

Personally I think the best bang for the buck would be the Radeon 9000 Pro (not 9700) for fast 2D (with QE), and light gaming.

The Radeon 9700 is way faster in terms of 3D acceleration. If you don't play any hardcore 3D-games then a Radeon 9700 is a complete waste of money and - like Eug said - you should take the fanless Radeon 9000.
