In case anybody cares, I saw a dude buy an old floor model 867 MDD for $1350 tonight (new price $1499 less 10% for being a floor model) at the Troy, MI Apple Store.

This deal (new price less 10%) pretty much applies to anything they recently pulled for the new product intros. They don't advertise it, you have to ask. The products come with the full warranty.

I almost bought the thing myself, but I'm going to wait and check out a 17" PowerBook in the flesh before buying any new Macs!

Interesting. My iMac DV was a floor model and I saved 10% as well. The keyboard was a little dusty inbetween keys, but other than that it was in immaculate condition. I thought it was well worth saving 10%. You just need to be careful that everything is still in the box. The salesman pulled everything out of the box and showed me that it's all there.

Dude, for being from Cincy, you sure are in my neck of the woods a lot.

I am stupidest when I try to be funny.

I still got the standard warrenty. I didn't buy from an Apple store though. Floor model from another store.

Hmmmm...maybe I can convince one of the salespeople that one of those 1GHz Powerbooks is on "clearance" for 10% plus my "Feb 3rd Holiday Coupon."

Yep, the standard warranty is included and doesn't start until the day you carry it out of the store.

I am splitting time between Toledo and Cincy right now, so Troy is my Apple Store when I'm in Toledo...
