When I take pictures with my Kensington Camera, it saves them as vertical lines(compressed files, maybe?). Is there an extension that converts pictures when they are saved to the HD, or am I off way of target even on that theory? Up until a couple weeks ago, the pictures were saving fine.

There's a few things we need to know from you. What computer are you using? What version of the MacOS are you running? Is there a "special" application you are using or is it something that came on your machine? How much RAM do you have? How much free disk space? These are all things that can lead to/cause file corruption. Hopefully with a little more information in your post either myself or someone else here can help you out.

iMac 400DV. I've narrowed out memory problems already-I've got 190+ and have virtual memory on as well. Using Mac OS 9.0.4, which is the same as I've used as long as I've had the camera. Program is called Kensington CamWorks & has worked fine up until the last couple weeks. The image shows on the computer sreen fine, but when I save it to the HD, it appears as vertical lines. What I find most troubling is that I don't recall doing anything that would cause this to happen. The ONLY thing that I've done which that might POSSIBLY be interfering is downloading Windows Media Player....& if that is causing trouble, I don't know why.
