They're comparing it to the 15" Combo from before, which was $1499. The $1199 price was for the CD-RW model, which was pretty stripped-down in other ways (half the memory, smaller hard drive, not even stereo speakers). The new 15" Combo isn't lightning-quick, but it's a much better value for the money.
