If you put these larger RAM modules into the older (PC133) G4's, can you get over 2GB usable RAM?
(ohh...6GB RAM (its so cheap now...) in the 4 slots?!)
I think OS9 ignores RAM over 1.75, but OSX has no limit, right?

1GB's and above won't work. It either won't see more than 512MB or it won't work at all.

Nope. Will not work. 4GB is a processor limit, and 2GB is the max that any mac will take, 4 slots with 512MB.

512 modules appear to be the maximum size the memory controller can address. If it could recognize larger modules, the system would ultimately be limited to 4 GB. This is the memory addressing limit of the 7400/7410 - 32 bit memory address space.
The 745x used in later PowerMacs has a 36 bit memory address space. If the motherboard supported it, they could go to 64 GB.
