Nevermind, I found out that it is not possible.

Looks like I'm going to have to find a way of making a bonefide OS X diagnostic CD.

Anyone done this? Anyone had any luck?

My diagnostic/utility CD problems under OS X 10.x are over:

BootCD:

Just made my first CD. Boot did take a bit longer than expected, but at least I'm able to use Drive 10 and Disk Utility on one CD. System prefs worked fine as well.

BTW, this utility works best with "standalone" apps, such as Drive10, Terminal, Disk Utility, etc. not apps such as BBEdit that require libraries and prefs to be in the correct place.

Anyone have any other suggestions for standalone apps that could go on a CD?
