Hi,

I read that if you upgrade iDVD from version 2 you keep all the themes. I am just wondering if the computer you bought with iLife, the iDVD comes with just new themes or also includes the ones from iDVD2.

I think that I read in Apple discussion board that iDVD2 can handle iDVD1 themes, but not iDVD3. The iDVD1 themes were hidden inside iDVD2 package...

Thanks

Rafael

ps. Yes, I am getting very anxious to get mine!!!!

I set up a new 1Ghz iMac for my friend the other day, but I never bothered even launching iDVD 3. I did have a look at it on one of the display machines at the Apple Store though, and I don't recall seeing any of the iDVD 2 themes; it appeared to be all new stuff. Whether you can transfer the iDVD 2 themes to iDVD 3, I do not know. I hope this helps.

I recently reformatted and reinstalled my system software on my iMac 17" and I opted to not install all the iApps since I just bought the retail iLife package. When I installed iDVD from the iLife Disc it put both the old and the new themes back on the machine. In the themes drawer in iDVD there is a new dropdown menu that you can choose to display either "new themes", "old themes", or "all". So I would think any new computer with iLife installed would have all themes, you just need to tell iDVD to show them.
