We had a power outage yesterday. both iMacs seem OK, but my dual is not playing well. I push the power button, it lights, but goes out when I release the button. I do think it is dead. What do you think?

That's why you should have a UPS (uninterruptible power supply). Best insurance around.

Owchie. Sounds like you busted the power supply.

If it got the power supply the logic board and everything else could be cooked.

I guess I should find someplace that will look at the machine. the only Mac place around is CompUSA and they charge $100 to look at it.
