Which powerlogix upgrade chip should I get?

The new 800 mhz G3 upgrade is coming out for BW g3's...
There's an existing g4 500 mhz accelerator card with Altivec from the same manufacturer.
Which one's preferable if I'm not planning on doing heavy Photoshop work? What if there are games that specify a g4, even though the g3 upgrade card is rated with a higher Mhz?
I have a bw G3 running OS 10.2.4, hoping to upgrade to 1024 MB of ram within the month. I don't know yet if I'm going to shell out for either of the above accelerators, that's a full $250-$300.

From what I understand, the G3 is no better/worse than the G4 for any speed under 800mhz anyway, especially if there's no G4 specific work (photoshop) involved.
I have a 400mhz B/W G3 myself, and I think I'll go for the 800 mhz G3 upgrade. My wife has an iBook that's a 600 G3, and I notice the difference there. I think that an 800 mhz upgrade will be just fine.
I think I'm going to up the RAM myself while I'm thinking about it... as long as I can afford it...

^ my friend thinks I'm completely retarded for hanging on to this computer instead of selling it and buying a sawtooth g4. What are your reasons?

Bottom line, I've got the G3/800 on order from Powerlogix. Expected to ship in March.
