Hello All

Gotta G4 733 running 10.2x

I need to back up 60-80 gigs of data once a week

I would like to rotate what ever media that may work for the solution but if the stuff is cheap enough I would archive and throw away as space permits

I bought a 20gig Tape only to find when I upgrade to OSX that it wasn't supported...

what do you use?

What is best for me?

I use a second HD as a backup for about 10GB of data (I keep 2 or 3 backups on the second HD). HDs are cheap.

How many generations or copies of this weekly backup do you want (need) to keep? You could buy 1 or 2 internal or external drives.

I like the idea of Hardrives for the speed and versatility but I need an option that can be ejected and kept off site...

I think a swapable 2 hard drive firewire system would work...

it would need to be hot swapable...

is there anything like that?

I need to do it once a week for each drive (back and forth)

if you are doing it to save space, get a firewire drive.

if you are worried about hardware failure, just set up a RAID with two ide drives.
