I would like to purchase an imac for home use, but there is one reason that we haven't switched..... the color (i'm telling you it's the only reason - i know, i know, pretty ridiculous). Does anyone out there know if Apple is planning to offer a different color anytime soon? What about black? I think it would be great if Apple would offer the imac in a color similar to the powerbooks..... very classy. How would I go about submitting my opinion to Apple? I can't find a feedback or customer suggestion link on their web site. If any Apple employees or consultants see this post, please comment if you are able. Thanks in advance.

yea. Apple had the colored computer thing, put the smack down with style.. then everyone and thier grandma started to copy it. Its a been there done that for them. Color has been played...now no-color rules. Besides black wont look half as good in thier dsigner PR shots

I still like the colors too, but I agree with keston that Apple is staying ahead of everyone. I guess it's a good idea.

The colours have been done. They look cheesy now. Apple is using white and silver.

Black is too PC.

i'm not looking to resurrect the old colors - will Apple offer anything other than white? anything is better than white.... except beige. it seems odd that apple doesn't offer color options. i thought that was the apple concept - options, freedom, being different.

Freedom? As long as you don't try and use themes on OS X

Seriously, there has been a person who disassembled the white iMac and made it into black.

I wouldn't recommend you doing it tho.

No, no, no- what has freedom to do with Mac's: Pretty nothing. And about beein' different: I don't think so. Millions of people share the happines of using Mac's, that is not very unique.

About color: Paint the Mac yourself. I've seen several iMacs in hot colors and flowery patterns, just be very careful and steady on your hand.
