ATI Technologies Inc. (ATY.TO) (ATYT.O) unveiled its fastest, most sophisticated line of graphics chips on Thursday, a competitive shot across the bow of arch-rival Nvidia Corp. (NVDA.O)

ATI said it will ship its high-end Radeon 9800 and Pro version chips in March and April, its mainstream Radeon 9600 and Pro versions in mid-April and its mass market Radeon 9200 and Pro versions in mid-April.

ATI said the high-end 9800 Pro chip, using .15 micron technology, is about 25 percent faster than the 9700 version it is based on. It has an eight pipe graphics engine and 256-bit wide memory.

Mac version will ship...what, maybe January 2004?? If were lucky.

We still can't get the 9700 which came out last July.
