G3 iMac won't boot after power failure...

My daughters G3/500 iMac's power was accidently turned off (light switch) and now it won't boot. Power button lights but hard drive won't start spinning or the monitor won't go on. I tried putting in startup disc in and starting with that by hitting the reset button while holding the "C" key but again... nothing. Tried zapping the P-ram... nothing. Any thoughts besides the repair shop?

Try changing the battery on the motherboard, Radio Shack sells them
