Got my flashed 8500 to work good but the "Phantom Monitor Syndrome" is still in place. Does anyone know if it allocates 32 MB to each "monitor"? Am I losing 32MB of VRAM by this happening? Thanks..

Don't know if thats the case. I also have a card that has a phantom monitor, but only when the DVI port is unused. Pluging in a monitor to the dvi port fixes the problem.

Unfortunatley, the cards that have this problem useualy have 24 pin dvi, and you cannot use a dvi-vga adapter.

So is mine. OEM built by ATI. But it is not the 275/275 fulll blown version. Mine is a 250/275 LE card. I suspect you have the same one.

Here is what I have:

I learned the hard way that one needs to also make sure it has 29 pin DVI and not just The Built By ATI original card in order to work perfectly.

I dont have any problems with mine, but I run a dvi LCD.
