Has any one ever used a G3 / G4 upgrade in a PPC 5400/180 cuz im thinking of updating my very very very old Mac if I can find the upgrade used.

No but I have used many other upgraded macs. The fact that the CPU becomes much faster does not make the graphics and disk that much faster. So do not expect it to become like a native G3! If you buy a upgrade buy the cheapest G3 you can find. If you need a G4 you need a new computer!
