I have just taken the leap to OSX wilth a new iMac 17" 1GHz, coming from a trusty PowerComputing PowerWave (upgraded) @ OS 9. So far the system is fantastic. However, I am having some problems integrating some of my peripherals. Namely, a Lexmark Optra S 1250 laser printer and a Umax Astra 1200S scanner. Has anyone out there sucessfully mated the above hardware? I've tried a Belkin USB/Serial adaptor with the printer and an Adaptec SCSI/USB adaptor for the scanner. I can't get either of them to be recognized by the system. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My Epson Stylus printer wasn't supported by OS X, but I got it to work with Gimp-Print. It works with hundreds of printers. I think I remember reading about something simular for scanners. Good luck.
