Just got my box and need more memory.

Is generic good? Any issues I should know about?

Also "labeled" vs "non-labeled" ?

dealmac / dealram lists a bunch of ones that carry the msg:

"Warning: The RAM listed below is not labeled by the seller for use with this system. However, it is the
same type of RAM used in this system and may be compatible. Check with the seller before buying."

but it's siginificantly cheaper. thoughts?

I always wondered the same thing. I order ram from www.transintl.com which have decent prices and a lifetime warranty.

I added extra Crucial RAM in my FW800 dual 1.25G with no issues. However I have read about plenty of bizarre behavior by FW800 machines which apparently resulted from incompatible memory. I'd buy only name brand stuff or be sure your source will replace if needed as the FW800s seem to be RAM finicky...

Go for Crucial everytime...

I have had loads of issues with non Crucial memory. (See threads on the board at the moment.)

I have used Crucial for 4 years and they have never let me down.
