I have a dual drive (Super/Combo) G4 that almost always locks up during DVD playback. Is this normal?

Well, besides taking a brick to the G4 and smashing it into itty bitty pieces, what should I do?

If I understand correctly and your Power Mac has two optical drives, a SuperDrive and a combo, does it lock up when playing a DVD in either drive, or just one?

Make sure you have at least 512 MB RAM. If you do, then reformat the drive and reinstall OS X 10.2 and do all of the updates to 10.2.4.
